The Beginning.
Hayamim Ava was founded in 1978 under the name Syarikat Perniagaan Hayamim, marking the start of our journey as one of the pioneering companies in Malaysia’s Audio-Visual (AV) industry. Initially focusing on providing low-cost AV aids to schools and colleges, we were among the few suppliers in the market, offering essential AV products such as overhead projectors, 16mm film projectors, and teaching resources from renowned sources like Encyclopaedia Britannica. Our goal was to enhance learning through innovative AV tools that supported educational development.
Expanding Horizons
In the 1980s, with the Ministry of Education’s push to integrate AV tools into schools, our role expanded beyond retail. We began holding mini-exhibitions and workshops across Selangor and the Federal Territory to help teachers incorporate AV aids into their classrooms. This effort not only raised awareness but also cemented our reputation as a leader in the AV space. As demand grew, we expanded our client base to include government agencies, training centers, and corporate entities. In 1989, we responded to this demand by acquiring a three-storey office building in Taman Seri Gombak to accommodate our growing operations.
A New Era of Growth
In 1991, under the leadership of founder Anwar Vijaya Bin Abdullah, the company was incorporated as Hayamim Ava Sdn. Bhd. During this period, we diversified our offerings, introducing audio products like conference microphones and public address systems. As awareness of AV technology surged across various sectors, including corporate and government markets, we saw double-digit growth throughout the 1990s. To support this growth, we acquired a larger warehouse in Taman Industri Bolton, Batu Caves, ensuring that we could meet the increasing demand with a streamlined supply chain.

As we entered the next decade, we continued to evolve with the rapidly changing AV landscape. The integration of advanced technologies such as interactive systems, video conferencing, and meeting room management solutions became central to our product offerings. Our commitment to staying ahead of the curve is reflected in our continuous investment in research and development, ensuring that we deliver future-proof solutions to our clients.
